The thing that bugs me about the iPhone, is the fact that I don't have one...yet

When tracking yourself on GPS, the maps don't move with you (if you're in a car/train). That kinda annoyed me, having to keep scrolling to keep up with my little blue dot

Odd.

any others?

all other aspects are excellent - safari zoom in/out, integration with 3G (push), apps store (potential), screen quality/sharpness/vibrant, sound, ipod features. overall 9/10.

Um? SMS is sorted by the date received. Received latest SMS are displayed on the top, the time/date in blue on the right. Do delete, you have to be select "Edit" up the top left and then select the red - button. It deletes the whole "conversation".

Yes, keyboard is temperamental, even with my skinny fingers...but getting the hang of it now.

Wouldn't like a standby indicator, but it would be nice for something to flash when you've received a text or missed call (when on silent, or just away from your iPhone...as if!).

For me, number of characters left in a typical SMS would have been nice.

he meant from all recipients, not sort by conversation, then by date.

I have noticed this. It seems to hang occasionally, but it is not the gps itself as it works brilliantly if I restart the phone. Try that.

You need to change to Australian format in Settings, I think. Mine shows the icon in Celsius (but still doesn't update).

for those that checked out the tracking with the blue dot, was it moving smoothly, or did it seem to move in steps?

granted i tried it just once but its not a contiuous movement, more of a start move a bit, stop, start move a bit, stop and so on.

If I walk somewhere, it tracks correctly

When on the train going roughly 90k/ph it would jump every 20-30 meters.

Very impressed overall.

Wolfie, sometimes my dot jerks, sometimes it is smooth. I'm guessing it depends on the reception (cellular and (most likely) GPS).
