Battery life for me appears to be an issue. I'm in a 2G area, dont talk much on the phone, do play a few podcasts (1hr max/day), and minimal gaming. Wifi is on all the time, so that wont help, but Bluetooth is off.

After 16hrs or so it's warning me of a low battery (20%). Admittedly the phone is only a few days old so I'll have to wait a while before the battery has done a few cycles to see what it ends up being. I personally would have much rather another 2 or 3mm thicker phone with better battery life

I have yet to jailbrake the phone, but since I want to add better themes and icons than are available, it's my only option. Adding a skinnable screen would allow people to modify more items like themes, or even the SMS ringtone... Things I have been able to do for years on other phones, and I DO like to make my phone fit in with my lifestyle and moods... Not everyone runs their PC or Mac screen layout as it came out of the box, so why should My iPhone be restricted from doing the same?

Extras I'd love to see: MMS, as I used it a lot in the past, Voice Dialing via Bluetooth as I used it heaps when driving as it is MUCH safer than forcing us to look at the phone to dial (Yes I now have to pull over, but thats not always safe eithor - try doing that on a crowded highway with people whizzing past you at 110km/h, or peak hr on Paramatta Road in Sydney!!!)

Otherwise, it's a nice phone, but it lacks the features that would finish it off as a great phone.

I think my iphone is dead!

Hi guys I think I have killed my iphone 3G after only 7 weeks or so it all started when I was installing a leveler app, you know the one that has a little leveling bubble.

It was taking forever to install so I decided to restart the phone BIG MISTAKE IT SEEMS

Now all I get is a shinny white apple logo and noting else I have tried holding down sleep wake and home keys and this does nothing cradling the phone with iTunes makes itunes crash and I have even tried removing the sim from the sim card tray!

Nothing has worked and it has been 8 hours or so now. I am a Telstra customer so I am reluctant to go see them as there morons who have no idea in our local Telstra shop.

Does anyone have any further ideas on what I can do to fix this Please????

Have you tried restoring it from iTunes? Plug it in to the computer, open iTunes and there's a restore button on the first screen just under the "check for software updates" button.

Pressing the button once will pause/unpause and pressing it twice will skip tracks

I think the light light sensors in my iphone are stuffed. As my screen likes to get lighter or darker for no reason at all.

Having the iPhone register having 1 bar of wi-fi, then suddenly having 3 bars a couple of moments later. Not moving at all, just sitting in its dock. This is with 2.0.2.

I've found on my phone, after a sync or backup on iTunes, if I try to use anything that requires the internet, 3G/WiFi on my phone, it doesn't work and I have to turn it off then on again and it works.
