Just continuing with the ridiculous "deficiencies" here
The other ones like MMS, C&P will probably come eventually its not hard, and MMS is barely ever used in the world of 3G
Why pay to send a MMS when you can email someone something?

If the iPhone gets MMS I will personally spend my monthly cap on spamming Apple executives with dancing cat animations as punishment.

One major deficiency: the store ran out of them before I got one :P
As far as wishlists go, it would be nice to see USB host mode support. The dock connector does go to USB, so it's theoretically possible, and it would be kinda awesome to be able to plug in a USB thumb drive, keyboard (or even an EyeTV).

Really?
So To Do Lists (in Mail) sync.... none of the To Do Lists in my Mail.app have appeared on my iPhone at all!?!?!?
just like none of my Notes (also in Mail) never sync'd with my iPod touch?!?!?!
I do have MobileMe.
emails push perfectly...
no sign of any contacts / calendar "push" activity though!
Annoying thing for me is at least with sync - you could plug it in to a Mac... and both would update...
with MobileMe - there doesn't appear to be any way to force an update?

Open up calender and contacts and leave them open, and when you come back, they will have magically updated!
With the Notes issue, I created a folder for notes under my Mobile account (in other words, not on my computer) and moved all my notes into it, in Mail, it created a mobile me folder in notes, and on my iphone, it created a folder named notes and the notes were synch'd.

I keep iCal and Address Book open permanently.
Still no sign of any contact amendments or calendar entries for me (alas)
Am testing out Notes now though... as they never worked for me on my iPod touch.
Thanks for the heads up about Notes.

You can reorganize the home screen. Touch and hold one of the icons until they all wobble. Then you can drag around the icons into your favourite arrangement. I believe you can have up to 9 (?) home screens. drag to the right to start a new one.
Hope this helps.
p.s press the home button to save and stop the wobbling.

I don't understand, why, why the hell Apple don't support firewire connection. USB,USB, I hate USB....

The 2.0 FW seems to be the culprit. Mine crashes back to the main screen with monotonous regularity, often when using the news reader (the one with the icon of the scoop reporter's hat). It's even crashed back to the Apple logo a few times using other apps.
The FW actually feels like a pre-production software; screen rotation is clunky.
If FW1.0 was behind the original Jesusphone we can safely say the poor bloke is well and truly on the cross with FW2.0.

The lack of true push email/IM services suck. Don't want mobileme to pay for it. Hopefully September will bring new native apps for it.
Hate how IM programs like AIM keep signing you out when it goes to sleep or if you go back to the home screen.
