Same here - the shop will be mayhem and they'll think I'm cutting the line.
|
Yeah exactly! Oh well... guess I'll just wait for my 3 sim to stop working and work it out from there!

At Optus Chaddy our rep actually told us to un brick it ourselves. He said we can easily do it at home and "you won't be forced to have the Optus crap on the phone." His words exactly I think Optus is just flooded with porting requests. Guess we need to be patient..grrrr

I'm having the same problems as listed above. Called Optus, there system is down. Probably because of all the new activations. He said 4 hours and it should be fixed. Until then I'm going to sit tight and wait.

Still waiting for mine to be activated... the guy who served me couldn't activate it for me because Optus' servers were down. I tried activating at home online but then got stuck at the ID bit, I have no idea what 'PIN Password' means and I don't have a drivers license. So I tried calling that 1300 line and just kept getting a loop of crappy phone music and "We apologize for the wait... blah blah blah" for about 40mins. Then tried to go back to TeleChoice to get help at 9am but still no luck, the servers were still collapsed.
Hoping my chances this arvo at TeleChoice are a 1,000 times better. =/

Blah. Mine's still not activated.
Anyone have a timeframe of when they should be able to?

can you explain how you are using a virgin sim. The optus guy in burwood told me I'd they did the itunes7.7 activation they would need a sim in the phone and if it was the virgin sim that would lick the iPhone to virgin and the unit would need to be sent back to get it unlocked.

Can you guys tell me something, did your phone get partially unbricked at the store. Mine was still in the box untouched, the guy at the store said I could do it at home myself once the number was activated (later today) but reading through it looks like some of you have had something done at store level first. and that you are just waiting for the number activation.. Do you think I will need to go back to the store??
