Bought the Dock. Bit of a shame the Remotes don't work with it. I also have the first gen Dock and that works fine with it, but have no compatible dock connectors for a proper fit.

I bought the Mossimo leather case and griffin car kit. Next on the list is some sort of scratch proof slip.

I don't know that you need a screen protector since it is glass. With plastic screened ipods they were needed, but for glass? I don't think so, unless you are a builder and banging it around everywhere.

I also got the generic email...
if we haven't shipped yours yet.. we will soon!
Mmm so it won't be arriving probably any time soon!
Now the dilemma - of what to use on my shiny new black 16GB iPhone in the mean time!

Can anyone provide an opinion on the new iPod dock...
Any good?
You get both the dock and the USB cable? (I am sure you do but its confusing on the Apple site)
Is their any third party 3G Apple approved docks people are holding out for?

Yep, it's $35 for just the hunk of plastic. Not even a cable
If you buy it from the Apple store, it's an extra $10 for shipping too, making it $45 all up. Not very attractive indeed

Just bought myself a SHURE Music Phone Adapter MPA-3C. iPhone headset is ordinary, and the cord from my favourite earphones is way to short. My old Sony Ericsson W900 had one of these things as standard.

Everyone should buy through Mactalk anyway, but T-life did have heaps of actual Apple accessories if you simply can't wait. But you should!!!!
Meanwhile I got an Exo Skin from Streetwise. Cost 19.95, came with earbud covers and a screen protector. I got a two tone black back and blue fronted one, and best part is the blue front glows in the dark Very happy with it as I'm prone to dropping phones so want it to be as protected as possible.
