That's strange.. I got mine from the US, and it works great with the iphone. I don't get any prompts about airplane mode at all and it works flawlessly.
Perhaps the Australian model is different to the US model?

may i just say - what craftmanship
the case feels sturdy, fits like a glove (the rebel looks like a hessian sack fit compared to this thing) and it looks a treat!
