I fail to see how this would be ugly. A lot neater than my current setup of two long cords charging and connecting a free-floating iPod.
A mounted iPhone could only improve your '84 Mazda. :P

Just a word of WARNING:
Make sure your accessories are iPhone 3g compatible, as older iPhone accessories may not charge the phone.
IF that is, what's desired.

Amazon delivers to Australia just fine. You will find Aussie resellers, but none have it in stock until a week or so into August (as far as I can tell) so you might as well order from Amazon and save a few bucks.

And for the record... it is iPhone 3G compatible (ie it charges through USB, not FireWire).

For those who ordered a foof and are having problems there is a care website... foof care instructions
and everyone complaining about how tight it is... that is the idea! my only suggestion is to put something which is super tight in it to stretch it out a bit. but over time it will get easier.

Thanks beneboi. Seen it though. The product wasn't as advertised. It didn't say "super tight fit" on the website. I don't want to wait for it to stretch (it's a phone, you gotta take it out quick to answer calls) and I plan to have a thin silicon case on it. That's definitely not gonna fit in there. I think even having an Invisible Shield/Bodyguardz will cause problems.
By the way, it's a much tighter fit than that video of the MacBook in the foofbag. That looked like a breeze compared to how my iPhone fits.
And I still think it's kind of suss that they have different dimensions for Foofpods for the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch on the website, yet they say "for iPhone/iPod Touch" for each one.

Sorry, just checked and they won't deliver that item for some reason. You can find the cheapest Australian retailer on shopbot:
kensington LiquidAUX Deluxe - Price Comparison - Buy at cheap prices
I went with iBuy, but they won't have stock until August 8.

Yeah i understand where your coming from. I dont get my iphone till thursday but i decided to test my foof with my 5th gen ipod and its rather tight, like you i was hoping to have a silicon case on it as well as the foof but i guess that decision has already been made for me... however im still happy with it.
i've noticed though it seems to be the lining which is adding the tightness and it really seems to need help just to get it into the corners!

i must admit that i seem to make excuses to check my phone once in a while....
to excited voices of "You have an iPhone, thats so cool, can i have a go?"
not that im being attention seeking or anything

My old iPhone only had one small scratch on it, from dropping it (very firmly) onto the car park asphalt at work. I have the site open now, but it is so hard to choose colours and styles! Damn they look good!
