Ok
So they said it would take 3 weeks to deliver...
(not that I actually believed it would be on time)...
but with the iPhone 3G release NEXT FRIDAY (can you tell I'm keen)
has anyone received their Invisible Shields yet?
I'm hoping mine gets here before next Friday - but I'm not sure I'm confident!

They are shipping July 7th. Lucky I selected the express post (middle option.)

I saw these great pouches made out of kangaroo scrotums in a souvenir shop in Chinatown, Sydney the other day. Should have grabbed them, before they bounced out of the store!

Charming! I bought a slim leather pouch instead with just the back cover Invisible Shield. Between the two, it should keep it nice and protected. And if I feel daring and just take it around me for shows, I can leave the pouch at home, and know it is still protected and not leave fingerprints on the back of the iPhone. I think the screen is well protected. I tend to look after my electronics. And the screen is scratch resistant. I would hate to see how ugly the screen looks after placing the Invisible Shield. I guess I will have to use my jeans to clean my greasy screen before showing off to my friends!

Feedback here has been very helpful - I have just ordered an Invisible Shield. I wasn't sure whether to get one but quite a few people seem to be very positive about them so thought I'll give it a go.
I'm also going to look at the Apple bluetooth earpiece. I'm assuming this will be available for the 3G version as it was for the first iPhone.

Is the front face of the new iPhone identical to the old one? I thought I heard something about another proximity sensor. Would this be a problem with the new one?

I almost selected that option... but wasn't convinced we'd see the iPhone 3G on 11 July!!!
DOH!
So free shipping for me!
Mmm I might have to try plain old "contact" or buy a cheap local case next week to tie me over.

Those of you that have a bodyguardz/zagg/invisible shield etc. on your iPhone or iPod Touch, Does having the shield on the screen interfere with the touch capabilities?
Just wondering because I had to take the shield off of the scroll wheel of my iPod Classic because it was very unresponsive with it on.

I had an invisible shield on my 1st gen iphone, but eventually I ripped it off because it got a bit ratty around the corners. The aluminium back is still in almost perfect shape, just looks a bit "lived in". I have just ordered a set of these silicone covers for the 2nd gen iphone. What do you guys think of these?

Ok I'm thinking Moshi pouch, or foof, or a DIY pouch, plus a Power Support anti-glare screen protector (I love this on my Touch, fingerprints don't show up!) which will come with a back piece.
I mean I could do all of the above plus an invisible shield.. but then I look at my KRZR with a glass front, which has survived just fine in a pouch for 18 months.
