I ordered a foof iPhone pouch, then will look for something with a clear type case.
Just double checking are Foof products mailed from Australia? If they are would I be right in saying I should receive it within a couple of days?

Foof are an Australian company based in NSW.
So yes, they post to Australia
$6 for iPhone pouch for postage is what mine cost.

Looks like I'm in the market for a new car dock that transmits via FM as the iphone 3g only plays nice with certain docks:
Apple iPhone : The iPod docks that won't charge Apple iPhone 3G
and my Cygnett dock brings up the yellow triangle too

It doesn't explicitly say it supports the iPhone on the box, but it works fine (although everytime you plug in the iPhone it asks if you want to go to Airplane mode, you can just click 'No' and it still all works OK). Charging the iPhone seems fine too.
It comes with heaps of different adaptors to hold all sorts of iPods - I found using the iPod Classic adaptor plus one of the included rubber pads holds the iPhone perfectly.
Wasn't going to buy it until I realised it also has audio line out (in addition to the FM transmitter).
Oh, and by the way, hello people (*waves*) - I've been a long time lurker, now a first time poster!

No you don't get a dock with the 3G iPhone. If you look closely at the cable the the metal bits on the side of the connector are slanted on both sides so it will be fine to just to pull out. If you compare that to the cable of your iPod which is only slanted on the top and flat on the bottom with stops it coming off unintentionally.

No dock... sorry. You have to buy separately. The cable doesn't need a release button.
