MMS is legacy technology.

You can't, iphones don't support mms. In other words, with no support you can not attach a photo or video to and txt msg. Even though the telcos do support it the iphone dose not so you can not. If you want to send a photo to another iphone then just email it.

Though you can bet it wont be long before it is supported.

You send it from a MMS compatible phone, just curious wether you get any sort of notification or if it simply just doesn't arrive..?

I don't know. My guess would be it might come through. But due to no support it will not auto download the file.

i've tried this tonight, sent a MMS to myself to a phone that can recieve MMS with no MMS settings i'd get a SMS saying i got to go to a site to view it, however i send another MMS to my own number but with the sim in the iPhone i get no notification.

However i had a look at the number the SMS notification is coming from and its 4 digits, maybe the iphone is not recognising the 4 digit number and the sms is not coming through?

Well a friend did send me one last weekend - and I never got it... or any other message / notification. I think she is with Optus, I'm with Telstra.
