well i drove into town and the line at optus was 150-200 strong ... No way was i gonna wait that long. Ill head to the Apple store in the morning and try my luck.
There was about 25 people outside the Apple store.

nope.. it was a breeze.. 10 mins average.. 20 mins tops.
tht's bcuz i'm not bound to any contract beforehand. so it was not as complicated.

ps: apparently the george st sydney store has got 1000+ iPhones. we saw them coming in to the store again and again. i would think tht it's true. |

I am looking for a prepaid + unlock Optus one, to buy outright.

hmm.. i'm quite sure tht if u get there now u'll b able to get one as there's onli about 25-30 ppl waiting in the queue. i'm sure they have more than 30 phones if the apple store decides to sell it.
about buying it outright, i've posted in a another thread before this afternoon. i've went to the store to interrogate the staff about wht's going on tmrw. they say tht contract plans r available for telstra, optus and vodafone, but no mention at all on outright/prepaid purchase.
sorry, i cant give you a definite answer. |

Still syncing at this stage, so I haven't been able to play yet. Super sexy. I'm sure it's lighter than the original. Feels way better to hold. Plastic back feels pretty good, perhaps not quite as classy as the aluminium. Screen is super bright.
Can't really see the back at all when looking front on, so the color choice doesn't make too much difference there.
