For an iphone with an optus plan your best bet is the Apple Retail Store

Optus Burwood told me that Optus are no longer selling the iphone on pre pay as well!
Telstra are telling me that they will only sell the 8GB outright, not the 16 and its $767 + $150 to unlock...
EDIT: and Jb tell me that all carriers have put an embargo on the 16GB because Apple cannot supply enough stock!?

Don't know about Sydney but I got 16gb black prepaid from Optus on Collins St/Elizabeth St on Friday. The guy over there said they have hundeds of them in stock.

saves me a long ass trip to go buy an iphone + mini (doing the whole kit and kaboodle in one trip ILL BE MAC'D OUT)

Does anyone know of any stores in Brisbane, preferably in or around the CBD, that have 8gb iphones in stock available on Optus plans. I have tried every (well almost) Optus store and reseller around north Brisbane (Redcliffe to Fortitude Valley) and all are out of stock - and of cause no one has a clue as to when new stock will arrive.
