I managed to get a 8gig optus prepaid from allphones at garden city today they had one left after i got mine, other all phones stores said they would be getting stock in the next couple of weeks.

Leading Edge Telecoms in Glenhuntly Road Elsternwick (VIC) got a shipment of 16GB black iPhones today.
I was told they have around 20 of them, along with a bunch of the other models too. They are more than happy to sell them outright [Telstra and t[life] stores have stopped selling outright]

I had a deposit, lined up on the 11th, turned down an 8g, and I'm still waiting for a 16g white to buy outright from optus (refundable). If anyone wants to sell me one I'm fed up waiting.

Walked in and walked out with a 16GB Black in 20 mins. Paid outright $847, no locked in plan - casual plan $10 month. Can cancel plan anytime after first month at no cost.
