I think the majority of Optus World Stores have sold out of their allocation, and the next allocation will be prioritised to those that have preorder or rainchecked the iPhone.
So you could be in for a bit of a wait.
Best thing would be to call them tomorrow and ask them. |

Does anyone have a list of all Vodafone stores who are selling the iPhone in australia? as in all stores from all states? or like optus where you can type in your postcode.

When I got my iphone on Friday from Telechoice in Mornington, they were telling people new stock was expected Mon-Tues, so could be worth a try. Staff there were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Good luck.  |

Optus Chatswood are out, hell they are answering the phones saying "No iPhones" when they answer the phone.
That may change during the week however.

I also know for a fact that Macquarie is out, a guy said (realistically) they expect more next Thursday - but these may be all taken by rain checks.

Well I rang Optus today to order an iPhone over the phone - and the guy at Optus Mobile Sales stated that if I wanted an 8gb it would be delivered on 18 July and the 16gb models (both colours) will be delivered on 1 August.
Just thought some of you may be interested.

Ok, amongst all the confusion, does anyone know how to get their hands on a 16GB outright iphone in Sydney from Optus? All of the their stores are saying a couple of weeks, but you can't reserve them - one in Haymarket even said end of September!!! What is the point of releasing a prepaid option if you don't even have any stock for 2 and a half months??
