nz's plans on vodafone are shit house ! althought that hasn't put 2 students off. They are waiting out side the store in aukland city. They have a tent sleeping bag and uni books but no mat to sleep on so they will bee sleeping on the street for the next 2 nights. If my calcualtions are correct then they will be the first paying customers in the world to buy the iphone.
Just my 2c

Good publicity for them. Sorry about the VFNZ plans, and the rugby.... although I think they were both English inventions weren't they?

My Dad's Vodafone business manager guy rang today.
He told me they haven't set the business plans yet, but I could go on a personal plan until they get it all confirmed.
$79 cap plan w/ $300 call credit, and 400mb included data with excess at $2 for 10mb. 8Gb iPhone included, or $9 extra each month for the 16gb. This is all on the 24mo contract too.

$79 'yes' CAP plans:
$550 calls/text and more
700MB of mobile internet data
It's far superior than what you are claiming. Of course, add the handset repayments ontop of that from both carriers!

At 24 months, there's none with Optus for the 8GB. A much better deal than the VF one.

On a 24month contract the 8GB is free, and only $2 a month for the 16GB.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the $79 is with the $9 16gb fee, the wi-fi hotspot access fee (not sure how much that was & who it went through) and the frequent global roaming add-on (I think he said it was something like $15).
