I thought I would just try and call Telstra and ask some opening times in my area and any further info they had. Apparently the iphone is not going on their systems until the 15th July. I said don't you mean the 11th and she said no the 15th.

Not sure what is correct. I've pre-registered with all my local shops as I won't be able to get to Perth for 7am but still there isn't much information from the shops. Surely this can't be that difficult to manage. I am hearing a lot of negative things about apple supplying to stores.

A guy was telling me that sometimes it is even hard to get a supply of the iphone touch out of them. Not sure what's true.

I very much doubt this is true. Telstra's first press release stated they would launch the iPhone on July 11 and in this article - http://www.smh.com.au/news/iphone-in...282814343.html - Telstra has confirmed it is having a launch event at the T Life store in Sydney.
