App Store, iTunes Gift Cards?

Ok, so with the 2.0 firmware we get the App Store, to buy apps.

So i signed up for a iTunes account, without a credit card (because I dont have a credit card). Now, to buy Apps from the App Store you'll need a credit card obviously, but because i dont have one, I need another alternative.

iTunes Gift Cards, will I be able to buy applications for my iPhone 3G with them?

Thanks

No-one knows for sure, (we will find out when the store opens in a few days), but I reckon it would be pretty odd if you can't use the gift cards to add credit to your account.

You might consider a VISA debit card? Not sure what the age restrictions are, but basically allows you to use the card AS a credit card, but it takes the money straight from your account like a keycard would. So it allows you to sign for purchases and buy online.

You should be fine, you might have to get the Apps through iTunes instead of the App Store on the phone, but highly doubt gift cards couldn't be used for Apps.

You still have to be 18 unfortunately. Although once you are 18 you really should get one, you can do everything you'd need a credit card for (iTunes etc.), but without credit, just your own money.

Yea buying it through iTunes wont be a problem, just hope that it'll work...I see they are selling iPod games on iTunes so i cant see why you wouldnt be able to buy apps.

Im 18 so its fine

This was something I was thinking about - will credit from the App Store and the iTunes Store be shared, through the one Apple Account? I sure hope so; I have about $20 that I want to be spending on apps!
