I spoke to the guys at Optus Rhodes and they said that they didn't think there would be any stock left over for non-depositors once they'd dealt with the depositers. Although he then went on to say that they didn't know how many they were receiving so just goes to show they don't know shit.

One guy also said he reckoned 3 months before everyone who wanted one got one. Yeah right.

Ring up the one in Miranda please. I'm a little lazy

The Eastland store in Melbourne is going for the 7am opening as well. The girl was very coy about the times saying if I had received the pre-release email I should know already.

No times in emails so far.

I don't understand how stores like Carlingford can 'open to everyone' but 'give preference to deposit holders'. Did you ask what this meant?

Anyone know if any optus stores may be open that night in the cbd?

Watergardens and Brimbank Central shopping centers are opening at 7AM.

I'm probably going to hit Parramatta, as then I have quick and easy access to big Vodafone and Telstra stores too (for last minute choices). Actually I may hit Macquarie Centre, as they have Telstra & Vodafone close by too.

Macquarie Centre is the only one of the ones I have called so far to say they will open at 7am for everyone. They will ask for people with deposit receipts to come to the front of the line and serve them first.

So what is happening about Carlingford, first in best dressed?

Just rang the George Street (Sydney) store, confirmed they will be open midnight, through till 6am. Presumably so they can have showers before opening again at 9!
