Has anyone who paid their deposit via c/card received an additional e-mail from Optus yet since then?

Most managers have stated that Optus have not received the amount they ordered in the first shipment, so expect to fulfill deposit customers and have next to nothing left until next shipment.

hey friends,
I just called Optus North Sydney (their big head office) and they said they will be opening their doors at 7am. He went on to tell me that their is no guarentee that anyone will get one (paid a deposit or not) but that they can sign people up anyway and get the phones out to them when the new shipments come in, which will be on the 16th and 24th of July.
So it wont be too long to wait if we miss out. Thank god. I still want one on Friday  |

Ive contacted all 5 major Optus world's in Canberra
Belconnen, Civic and Tuggernong - 7am opening for depositholders
Gungahlin and Woden - 9am
Deposit holders will have preference at all stores. If deposit holders don't come within 24 hours, first come first serve on Saturday if any remain. Most stores pretty adamant that only enough stock to cover deposit holders.

Optus World (Company Store) on Elizabeth Street in Melbourne has said 7am.
Optus Store South Melbourne was pretty helpful. Said they took over 30,000 deposits (I don't believe that though I'm far more under the impression it was around 5-8k before they stopped taking money). Has said they are only getting 8000 phones in total for the entire Optus network Aus wide. Has also said his store is only getting 50 and they have an EOI list in the hundreds in that store alone. He asked me if I had received an email saying I could collect my handset from that store, so perhaps Optus is sending things out? If so, I've not heard about it. Oh, and they're opening at 7am too. Not sure if there's going to be any midnight openings here in Melbourne. With the supposed limited stock, I guess there's no real reason for them to.

Last time I asked them, they didn't know if there was going to be any difference. But that was a couple of days ago. |

hmmm, i rang the apple reseller at erina and they said that they WILL be selling the iphone at 9am on vodafone, also is there any stores on the central coast opening early for depositors?

I just spoke to the Optus world Erina store and they are opening at 7am for people with deposits. |
