Exclamation Getting an Iphone just like the rest world

Hello all iam new to this forum this my second post lol since i joined and i have never owned or used a ipod before as its never appealed to me before. Last year when the iphone came out it took the world by storm i have never stopped to look at this forum and the pictures of phone which i only dream to hold in my hands .

So heres my story i have finished my contract with telstra since march this year and have been holding off buying another phone untill the iphone comes out. I was thinking about going on another contract with telstra but iam now considering buying the 16gb version outright on optus prepaid and getting a charge value of $80 so i can unlock the phone with no additional fees.

this sounds good so far apart from the fact whether or not i will find a iphone on the day like the rest of you guys, i will be keeping my telstra sim active however heres my question?

the iphone has all that optus promotional stuff on it i.e ZOO when i finish with my optus recharge card and place my telstra sim in there will the optus shortcuts remain and flash images remain?.

First of all mate welcome and if you can why not come along to our melbourne meetup on the 18th july for some fun times and a friendly chat. As for the Zoo function I dont know for sure neither would most people but I would say yes to the icon but no to the functionality of the icon does that make sense

No one knows. Anyone who claims to know otherwise is lying or speculating. No one even knows what kind (if any) custom software/shortcuts the iPhone will have on Optus. We know it has 'iZoo', which may be an Application, or it could just be bookmark to a website specifically formatted for iPhone.

I reckon you should at least wait til you see how the Telsta plans go against the others. Optus is the only carrier to release their plans at this stage - would be worth waiting it out IMHO
