I still think Apple Store Sydney will have them. Every day they always have tutorials in the morning and afternoon but on Friday 11 July they only have things from 5pm onwards.

What watters has said is pure speculation (though it would be great if true).
The only place you are confirmed to be able to find them on July 11 are authroised Telstra, Optus and Vodafone stores. Check out the FAQ and news items on the front page of the site and see whether there is a place near you that suits.

yep.. selected T life stores and a few Tshops in the city. I know cuz i work at a dealer and we aint getting stock till end of July. I've wrote this in past threads aswel.
anyway Optus is basicaly no point lining.. it's going to be sold out .. no walk ins..
55,000 odd people pre ordered one already right.. goodluck getting it on launch day.

It's all about expectations; I'm telling myself there will be blood...err, shortages. This way, come the 11th, my suspicions are confirmed, so I'm not completely disappointed, or there isn't a shortage, and I get an iPhone. Almost win-win!

I am sure they will run out but I want to see what the plans are before I get one anyway. I'm not going to blindly get one and end up on a plan I'm not happy with.

Hopefully Vodafone release competitive plans that:
1. Give Optus non-deposit holders a chance
or
2. Persuade Optus deposit holders to change to vodafone so us non-deposit holders can have a chance at Optus again :P.
