I'm not all that concerned. It's just great to now know the plans and the other details. I'm sure there will be enough for everyone, but if not, it won't take long to restock the shelves with more.

I personally, can't see how there won't be shortages.
when you consider that the iphone is being released to multiple carriers in multiple countries on the same day. I mean, how many units do you think apple would have stockpiled.
Looking back to the release of the original i-pod. There where huge shortages when they first came out, stockist couldn't order them. I had to scour the coast for mine.
And as far as the Optus deposits that have been paid. I think a lot of those people will miss out initially as well.
Patience people.

well, if OPTUS have any brains, the fact that they stopped taking deposits should mean that they have already 'stocked out' of their allocated units for sale.
otherwise, if you have paid your deposit and then you miss out, they'll have hell to pay - i sure wouldn't be too happy to have forked over cash in good faith only to be denied an iPhone on the day. |
