Official Optus Pricing Information
Optus finally gives it up and are first to release full pricing details (and they look quite good). The Optus website has all the info and legalese you could want:

Here are PDF links incase the Optus website dies on you:

Here's a snazzy table NeoRicen whacked up to try and untangle the plan complexity:

First month free internet browsing. That will be handy to see how much Data is used per month without incurring a bill for a couple of thousand dollars.

Free Wi-Fi too!

I'm sorry I complained about the fake plans before.
Anyone know if it's possible to bolt-on more data for a higher price? I don't really care if I only get $14 of calls...

This is interesting though:
So a 12 month contract on the $59 plan would = a total payment for the iPhone of: $504

In NSW there is a dozen or so hotspots in the CBD, and a couple in Newcastle and that is about it.

Bah, pissweak data on the $49 cap. 500mb would have made me happy
Also - the 12 month contract handset repayment price is pretty huge, why isnt' it simply double what the 24 month contract is?

Azure Wireless - High-speed wireless Internet hotspots and secure corporate network access - I'm pretty sure that's where their hotspots are located. (optus and azure share em)

hmm
I'm currently on this plan with my Nokia 6110

with no handset repayments. Wonder if they would upgrade me for a decent rate
