The page looks REALLY confusing O_o

You would think Optus would have an upfront cost, so you can avoid the monthly repayments.

And Im a little bummed with no prepaid.

Oh, I just noticed this:
To celebrate the launch of the iPhone, customers who connect their iPhone to an eligible Optus iPhone rate plan up until the end of August will get their first month of Mobile Internet Browsing for free*.

Free internet use for a month!

I am still worried about optus's 900mhz incompatibility thingy. I am tempted to go with Telstra even though they have been complete pricks to apple. Mainly for the superrior data rates. But I have a feeling voderfone will be the one for me

Can somebody tell me if you are on a CAP plan and you use your allocated amount of data, what happens then? Do we pay excess data charges or do they just cut you off until your next month rolls around?

Prepaid pricing is a bit steep but expected.

Will the prepaid price of the iPhone drop over time like most phones?

You are charged over and above, I think. Where are people getting ideas of prepaid pricing from?

NOW we are talking. $849 up front and the $50 turbo cap seems just about right for me
