Yay!
The $89 Plan with a free 16GB iPhone 3G on a 2 yr contract looks good to me.

Well I'm dumbfounded. I really thought we were going to get screwed with the plans, but this actually looks pretty good. No idea which plan to choose though.

Can someone clarify the "handset repayments"? Those are only applicable if you pay nothing for the iPhone up front, correct?

Erik, I think that is correct. But if we want to pay upfront; what will those passwords be?

Yeah, you need to pay them monthly for the handset unless you are bringing your own iPhone or are paying for it outright.

no prepaid which surprises me.
I have to see if they'll let me bundle into my internet and foxtel account. if they do a credit check neither wife or i can get a phone (we were stupid when 18). so it's prepay or add to acct.

I have no idea how to read that.
$59 cap looks okay for me... I don't need the calls / texts but the data is important.
But the cost per month looks to me like it's $59 + $42 12 month contract or just $59 + $7if I sign for a 24 month contract.
24 month contract sounds bearable.

Handset repayments pay off the phone, not the service. So instead of a giant upfront cost you pay it off over the course of the contract. Can someone confirm?

2. I don't quite understand what the total monthly payments would be, and the upfront cost. The way I understand it - there are no upfront costs, but you have to pay the plan+monthly handset repayments. Is this correct?
In that case, does that make the cheapest plan the 24 month $19 Cap plan + $21 month payment loan = $40?

repayments on the Yes plans are cheaper than the cap plans
