So it's there on the site, but there's no direct link to it from optus.com.au . Did someone stumble upon it prematurely?
EDIt whoops I'm talking about Optus in the telstra thread. My bad

Its a phone, and the cost of regular voice calls is what interests me most.
I'm not interested with the cost of data via a carrier, either Otpus or Hellstra. I'll get my data via wireless (almost entirely) at home and work, etc.
So, my question is from what we know about released plans, which plan/carrier is cheapest for infrequent calls/iPhone cost?
m.
EDIT: Posted in Otpus thread too. I hope thats OK. But want info from both carrier thread-readers. Thanks,

I'm with 3 and am trying to figure out who is better - Optus or Telstra...
We have a wireless network here at home, would i be able to download the apps etc through our own internet and not pay for the data on either plan? or will it have to go through either telco?

Wireless at home goes through your ISP who does your home connection.... free on the iphone.

Finally, Telstra does feature in official iPhone launch partners.

Are we the only country in the world to have three iPhone providers?

I think so. Most only have one, and there's very few with 2. We've even got re-sellers selling it.... which is a rarity really.

We could even have 4 telcos selling the iPhone if 3 get their way. Maybe Apple doesn't want to have 4 telcos because of stock, communication etc.

i think the main reason holding apple back from letting 3 sell them is there rip off roaming data
