Pretty Much Every McDonals, Every Starbucks, Every Readings, Every Major Airport, the entire Melbourne CBD (SCORE!!!)
Telstra pride on being able to offer WiFi through the entire Melbourne CBD to customers who sign up for access, plus you can randomly rock up to any maccas and just sign-in, or pay for a short bit of usage with a Credit Card.
If you're with Telstra on POST PAID you can charge the access to your bill, so in this instance, these carges would be waived for iphoners.

ahh kfc yeah tis ok but still , Do i really want the factor of free wireless @ fatty joints to decide how good a mobile phone plan is?
Id rather they ditch the free wireless or w/e and drop the price down a tad,, and anyway,, there is tons of spots i know with unprotected wireless..
I still think that telstra can push a little more outa there plans casue i can bet my balls that Optus and Vodaphone will come up with something better

Why has telstra released prices on the iPhone and why wouldent Apple include telstra on the website or in anything for that matter escpecially when telstra is the leading phone company in Australia?????? Also why are telstras prices enormously differnt to the other providers of the iPhone.

I agree totally with iPhone (about the pricing part), I make so sense whatsoever to me that Telstras 8GB prepaid and 16GB prepaid are going to be $279 upfront and $399 upfront! If the other carriers are selling for more than $600 on the 8GB then it would be almost $400 difference in price. Anyway, who would want Telstra as a carrier? IMO, their service is horrible.
It sounds so stupid when something says the iphone is just going to be this price, even with 400 dollars difference (i wont give sources)

This thread is on Telstra, so here is some Telstra info about purchasing the iPhone which I posted in another thread:
You might have to look at which Telstra stores are company stores and which are franchises. In the Sydney City, i'm pretty sure only the store is the T[Life] store. In the upper north shore, the Macquarie Centre store is a company store, but the Hornsby store is a franchise. The only way to tell the difference is to ask, but generally the company stores have employees that know much more as they are trained better.

Uh, what did Decryption say about not posting things as fact if you don't know it to actually be fact? There's a simple way to find whether or not a Telstra Shop is company, or licensed/franchised.
Visit the Telstra Shop Locator and enter the postcode for the store nearest to you. If there is a red asterisk next to the store's listing, it is a licensed/franchise store. If not, its a company store.

You used to have to go and ask the store. I haven't had to use a Telstra store for a while, so I didn't know they added this feature. Sorry.
