Ok, Added Ireland.
I also added a Data average, however this does not include Unlimted plans, so it is only an average of the cases where the cheapest data plan sets a specific data allowance. The colour coding also works like this, it does not include Unlimited data plans.

I don't know if I have missed any, but as of my count, 8 out of 22 countries still don't have any pricing announced.

I don't know If I'd count Italy or Australia. They're on my list because they have some prices, but they haven't really announced plans per se.

Ouch, poor Norway. If you pay full price for the iPhone, you still have a 24 month contract to use plans. Wtf?

Only 4, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and Portugal. That leaves Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Mexico and Spain to announce plans, but don't have Vodafone.

I just put them in, out of interest, not gonna publish though.
Originally I thought the UK Pay & Go prices were really good compared to international prices. However, at that time the only international prices were from Italy. Now that the US prices have been announced, and other countries, the UK prices fit right in, in fact, like the subsidised prices, they're extremely close to the US outright prices.

From the Ars Technica article on Spanish plans:
Quote:
|
If you go over that 200MB, the connection speed is reduced to 128kbps down and 64kbps upload. For the heavy data users, there's a €25 ($39) plan with a 1000MB cap. These data plans can be combined with a choice of voice plans (starting at €9/$14).
|
I'd be happy to have "unlimited" data here that is capped, it makes it cheaper, but still usable if I go over the limit. And we are used to being capped on the internet here.

128/64 is a nicer capping than most ADSL here, which is 64/64... A lot better than $2 a MB or something ridiculous.

I hope we get capped if we go over our limit (if its not unlimited) it would be awesome to be able to keep receiving email etc. after going over the limit. I doubt any of our telcos would do this as data is such a cash cow for them.

So $733 outright for a 16GB in the USA
So that should make it $850ish here IF we get outright
