Just read the Swisscom iPhone press release and they state that prepaid phones are locked to Swisscom.

Actually no, until I confirm that you can choose to buy the phone upfront instead of repaying the phone, the minimum price on Optus is $38.
EDIT: Ok, I've decided to add the 12 month $19 contract as Australia's cheapest plan. It will make our Upfront costs the worst in the world, but our TCOs the best.
EDIT: Here it is

Income for a teacher in Norway is around A$500,000. Incomes are high to cope with high cost of living. Another example is the Big Mac rate of exchange. A Big Mac meal in Oslo costs around A$20

So their $82 plan is actually roughly equivalent to our $20 plan?

Is there a mistake with the subsidised 8GB and 16GB prices for Australia?

No, that's the price of the phone on the $19 Plan. They get much cheaper as prices go up, and on 24 month contracts.
That price is the sum of the phone repayments over the course of the contract, I think this can be paid up front so the price becomes $19 a month.
Since this rundown is purely the cheapest plans the subsidised prices can actually be cheaper on higher plans.

$533 for an iphone from switzerland doesn't seem too bad.
Only question is, how can I get one from there? I can only think of one way, that is to get someone from switzerland to buy it and send it to you... but I dunno anyone from switzerland, is there any other way to get it? (excluding ebay)

Maybe wait until they go on sale online? Surely they will eventually.
