My friend is getting one on pre-paid, and I'm yet to make a decision. Someone might be buying it for me as part of their business in return for some work so would have to sort that out.

However, I'm going to line up with my friend anyway, and we are in Brisbane, but have to decide on a store. Somewhere around the city or in the city I suspect.

I rubbished and practically hated all over those who lined up for last years' iPhone and maintained that I'd get mine a few days later rather then line up....

...but I'll be lining up come Friday. Hypocrisy, yes, I know. I have iPhone fever and I must have this device. What's a few hours in the cold (risking frostbite and pneumonia) if it means that I'll get the iPhone on launch day?

Count me in, I haven't decided where I want to go yet though...

But they didn't sell the iphone in Australia last year?

Ah well. I also haven't decided where to go - does anyone know if the Optus "register your location/preference" option was tied to our email addresses? I'd hate to line up, and find out my iphone was waiting elsewhere.

Any word on who can promis you the iPhone? I just spoke to someone from the Optus world in the city, apparently they have about 200 iPhone pre-orderes, and no idea how many they are getting...

Im assuming its one of their biggest stores, so am assuming they will have more iPhones then they need? What are your thoughts on this?

I'd be cautious about that since that would be preferential treatment and i'm sure the other telco's wouldn't be happy about that

I just noticed that on the 11th, the Sydney Apple store only has two workshops, and both are after 5pm!

Just a bit odd considering they generally have classes earlier in the day as well. Hmmmm....

They'll need all their staff on the floor explaining to confused customers why they, the only Apple store in the country, won't be selling their new product.

Before this gets deleted, is anyone planning to pull an all nighter and see how the NZ launch goes? (If you're not going to the Australian one, that is :P)

-time you're waking up

Im not =, im getting on a plane to NZ that arrives at 11:30 pm, so ill be going straight from the airport to you know where...

-socks you're putting on

Ill wear the ones im currently wearing

-preffered toothpaste

Carrying Colgate sensative

-how old your mother is

56, in fact I just picked her up from the airport in sydney (shes visiting from tassie) and she dropped me off at the international airport

-what you are going to have for breakfast

one of those large hotel breakfasts with everything for 50 bucks (all you can eat)

-what kinda shoes do you have (new balance?)

Now, diesel, tomorrow black work ones, cant remember brand, checked in allready

-how quickly does it take to get dressed into your turleneck and levi jeans

11.74 seconds (not including buttoning up my cool button fly)

-what time you're leaving home to goto your local optus, fail$stra or homofone shop/reseller

per above, landing at 11:30, 30 min cab ride to the midnight opening of the voda store in christchurch

-how many times you plan to pick your nose

I enjoyed a detailed session at home before travellign to the airport and therefore have little ongoing expectations around requirements for nose picking...in the next 24/48 hrs

-if you're going to eat it

Whatever Air NZ serve, usually pies becuase new zealanders arent very original

-be a loud fanboy and say MACS, DERP DERP. (please no...)

negative, ill slip in like a ninja, buy my iphones and out before you can say boom

and what other little things you'll be doing

the next day Im presenting to a bunch of senior execs,,,,shit im gonna be tired!
