I guess the main thing that attracts me to it is the fantastic Internet device that it is. I love the idea of having Safari on my phone, and being able to load up web pages on the fly.
The fact that it's fast becoming a haven for developers to launch applications is also really exciting, it's really the first phone to do this successfully for both the end user and the creator.
Lastly, the social factor. I can't wait to turn up to school on July 14th with one of the coolest devices ever created, and have everyone crowd around me in glee. I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one to shell out for one on a plan, so I'll certainly be in the minority!

People keep telling me there is phones with better specs, no doubt there is.
Never owned an apple product before but for me
Main reason - full useable internet everywhere (can compare prices when shopping, book movies, look for restaurants, phone numbers etc)
Other reasons
- its so easy to use
- GPS would be useful, but not enough to buy a separate one
- easy way to keep notes that i wont lose on things to do
- the things its missing (MMS and the other bits) i wouldnt use anyway. 2mp is more than enough for the odd snap (i have a proper camera i generally use)
I have had a Nokia 6230 for a few years so anything will be a step up.

I have an iPhone already.
I see 3G/GPS as a bonus, not a reason to buy.
I see the warranty, insurance and security of a plan as the reason to buy.

Because I seek self-worth and validation as an escape from my shallow persona by the consumption of meaningless consumer gadgets.
And it's so, so shiny.

I just want it for the new design really. The black or white one.
If I don't get one, I'll still be happy with my iPhone 1.0

Because I don't really use my phone, but people want to contact me, considering I always carry my iPod Touch around with me, it would be very nice to have a phone built into the iTouch.

Because I've been Borged to a PDA of some sort since the late 90's and can no longer function without one. I hate the Palm Desktop on OSX (and it hates Intel, anyway). Because if I have just one device arguing with iSync, I won't have to periodically clear 400 sync conflicts for no reason I know of. I want to Zen down to one gadget.
Because I have an iPod Touch and I've played with iPhones and the (unrealized) power of the platform is amazing.

Most of the phones iv got, iv gone for the ones with the latest crap in them to find i don't even use half the features. So this time round I'm going to get a phone thats great to use... the iPhone!
Its got everything i need proper browser for when i get bored on the train, wont have to carry a phone and an iPod, a nice big screen. I just hope there will be a decently priced data plan
