my guess is that this mysterious second photo that, strangely, only a few have seen (sadly not me), confirms the first.

Alright you guys are hard to please.
This is all I saw and remember from the early hours of this morning.
1. The 16GB black iPhone was not available yet (look at the above image in the 'on order' column).
2. The 8GB black and 16GB white were 'on order'. These columns had values filled in now.
3. The quantities 'on order' were, approximately, 30 to 35 in this particular store.
4. This pretty much confirms the price points because why would you place an order for a few dozen iPhones that are not price-certain?
5. As far as I recall, the product codes did not change.
That's it.
Delete my post if this breaks any rules, but that is what I saw and I didn't take the photo. I merely came across it at the right time and have a good memory for things.

While Huys posts outlines what I also saw the question still stands - domayne is not a vodafone or optus shop, they are a apple reseller and a telstra shop.
So are resellers going to be able to sell the jesusfone or is telstra coming to the party? or is dominviting vodafone/optus to the business???

to get back on Topic . . .
I believe the original question for this thread may have been something like;
what price will it be to purchase an iPhone 3G outright - yes?
if so then one would have to say, realistically:
Aus$500-700 for an 8gb
Aus $750-900 for a 16gb
& I say that by looking at comparably specced smart fones and what $ they can be had for via the discounters

I'll say it again - $2-300 more for an extra 8 GB is highway robbery and completely unjustifiable. $100 is a reasonable difference, $300 is flat out rude. I can get an 8 GB flash drive or memory card for about 1/4 of that.
If it ends up $2-300 different on a contract (which I'm considering doing), that too will be an utter joke.
