Next iPhone prototype - Front facing camera!

This is indeed very interesting and wouldn't surprise me if Apple plans for yet another release of a new Iphone in the next 12mths.

-The camera is actually very clearly seeing in the video (not so good in the still picture)
-Why would he be using a crappy grey casing on an official demo to the world UNLESS he was using a prototype and they wanted to hide some of potential future design features.
-This may also explain why some earlier leaked info and moulds for casings suggested a front facing camera....Apple may have delayed it till the next release

Why would a company as secretive as apple put a prototype of a future version of a product as a demo for the current one? It doesn't make sense. What? did they run out of 3G iPhones?

Both Gizmodo and Engadget debunked this one. It's a smudge, not a camera. I'm sure there will eventually be an iPhone with a front facing camera...but I think we're going to see new iPhones release on or around the iPhones birthday. For it's 2nd birthday, I'm predicting an expansion of iPhone models

It's a smudge....

No case designs featured anything for a front faced camera, it turns out it was for a 2nd proximity sensor.

The pic is debunked. But its kind of obvious that some version after 2.0 will have a front facing camera considering Apple filed a patent showing one.

By the way the ugly grey casing is due to the fact that this is their modded iPhone that does menus through video out (unlike the current av cable), which is necessary for keynotes.
