AT&T have already said they aren't offering it on prepaid. O2 is having prepaid and non-contract plans also, it appears Apple has given carriers free reign this time. It's a great way to spot the arseholes (AT&T).

pre-pay is known as PAYG (or Pay As You Go) in the UK - it's the same as no contract. (I know that I'm being a bit pedantic on this, but I just hope to clarify before someone jumps on what you have said and think that it means that it will not be locked to their network). It will be.
