We can, that just doesn't include calls
so we will get $49 for $300 worth of calls plus $39 for 5gb of data
$80 a month seem fair?

People aren't entitled to things they want for how much they want, they're entitled to get things at the price they're worth, the iPhone is worth a lot.

I dunno if this has been mentioned anywhere, but it appears Optus is no longer accepting holding deposits.

Yeah it was mentioned somewhere. I hope it's because it wasn't working how they liked, NOT because there are none left.

Wow. No. Thats very odd. Maybe they have already go to their quota for launch!
Or maybe they realise they can only enrol so many people on that day and so closed it off...

Does anyone know if both the 8GB and the 16GB will be available or just one of the two?

I know I am only new here, but this forum needs a sticky or FAQ or something about the iphone. As you have the entire board polluted with the same questions over and over again, and multiple posts about the same thing. Questions that are the same get asked time and time again, it makes for a very messy forum.
Can some one help clean up this mess.

There's a big constantly expanded iPhone FAQ that is in the process of being updated. In the mean time apple.com.au, google and forum search (or failing that, posting in the appropriate thread) are your best bet.
