True.
Both CEO's are going to hold hands and jump into the water together.
"you jump" "no, you".

Hi Guys,
Just went to my local Optus store (to get a pre-paid sim to tide me over until 11/07) and the guy behind the counter had just recevied his iphone "training".
His goss was no plans until 11/07, no stock details until 11/07, armoured car delivery - it's all full on.
You can take it all with a grain of salt if you want but I think customer relations is starting to suffer under the need to "build the hype".
BTW, trying to activate my mobile on Optus was annoyingly hard and don't bother trying to call Optus help becasue they have one of those annoying voice recognition system which SUCKS!
I think I will end up with someone else.

Plans will be out before then, I'm sure.
What I'm concerned with is: multiple outlets are reporting that iTunes 7.7 (which will be required to activate the 3G iPhone), firmware 2.0 and the App Store are all coming July 11. But plenty of us are planning to get new iPhones as early as possible - either at 7am July 11 (2pm July 10 in Cupertino) or at midnight July 11 (7am July 10).
So here's the question: will early buyers be unable to activate? Or is Apple going to think of customers outside the US, for once?

That article says to me that:
iPhone 2.0 software will be available on July 11 as a free software update via iTunes 7.7 or later for all iPhone customers Not that the iTunes 7,7 release will be on July 11. TUAW is saying that "In theory, iTunes should be released before the new iPhone hits store shelves on July 11", but Apple hasn't said when iTunes 7.7 will be released.

I say that it's a certainty. As frustrating as this waiting game is, the winner will be the consumer in the end. After all there is a deadline

The majority of the July 11th countries have released their costs...we just have lame teleco here.
I personally think they knew exactly how much they wanted to charge the day it was announced... Its just that no one wants to be the first to announce, so they don't get undercut by the other.

Majority? no. O2, check. AT&T, check. one or two others, check. That's far from the 'majority' of the 22.
Patience people. They will come. And we will lap it up. We're all addicts

What makes you think it will be required to activate? All reports are saying phones are activated in store, there's no home activation anymore.

iTunes 7.7 is available now to developers. Sign up for a free membership and download it if you are that concerned. Note: You will not be able to add songs or vids to the 3G iPhone without iTunes 7.7.

The free evening/weekend is pretty good for calls. And the fact that you get unlimited incoming sms is simply awesome. Too bad about their data rates.
