iPhone battery life suddenly became atrocious?

For the last few days I've noticed my iPhone's battery life has gone from 2-3 days, to less than one day?

As an example: I left it charging overnight yesterday. I used it to listen to music with the screen off and connected to my car's stereo via the headphone socket for 10 minutes while I drove to work. At the end of my 9 hour shift - only one missed call and one text, the battery life was down to less than a quarter. I went to the movies after work, and by the end of the movie, the battery was dead.

This is within the space of one day. I haven't changed any settings, and yet suddenly the battery seems to have no life in it at all?

It used to last between 3 and 4 days before needing a charge, now I can't even get a day from it!

Any suggestions?

My Touch is having similar problems, just not as drastic. I've lost about an hour of replay time (Video).
So my guess is it's a dodgy battery.
Mine's under warranty though - sorry.

Probably just a reduction in capacity over time with usage.

How long have you had it?

About 4-5 months. Very little time at all

EDIT: Actually, only in March! So 2 months

Very strange

Perhaps it is the cold winter weather then? That would explain it. Maybe.

Strangely enough, on my iPhone (9 months old) it will go about 6-7 days without a charge. I only make calls on it and SMS.

sounds either like a faulty battery or edge or similar is running continuously

I know if had a problem with my K800i going flat in a day because it didnt want to lock on to a tower and was searching all day

I generally get a couple of days on my iPhone battery - but I have noticed it declining.

I got mine n mid-March... I do make a few phone calls during the day, and check email, but not much else!

Roll on, July 11th - and hopefully 'Pre-order on the Apple Store'!
