When will the iPhone be released?
Questions says it all really...
talking about the initial queue causing release outside american apple stores... hopefully it will be an international release.. but this poll errr guessing game is for the 3G debut.
Im talking purchasable... walk into the store and walk out....
with an iPhone in your bag.

Announced, or available for purchase?
I thought the latter, so I voted the day of Steve's keynote.

Wait a few more days to find out.
And if you wanted an iPhone, you would've bought one already and unlocked it (or had it unlocked before purchasing).

Then wait a few days.
And with 3G comes data plans which means additional spending.

I assume so, seeing as though they are unlocked.

No so fast, we think it will be. Perfectly reasonable possibility that it won't be. Of course you can always wait a few days until the hackers figure out how to unlock it and off you go.

So if you buy a Vodafone iPhone, it will be locked to Voda?
If you buy an Optus, it will be locked to Optus?
If you buy direct from Apple... what then?
I reckon it is unlocked from Apple. Why would you then purchase it from a carrier other than subsidies/plans/bundles.
And yeah you're right, someone is going to unlock it just as the iPhone Rev. A.

I hope 3 and Telstra get it also to really cause a price war.

I didn't simply because I wanted a warranty.

Yeah good point all.
I'd be pretty peeved if my iPhone died and I didn't have warranty. Though this close to the 3G models being announced, I'd probably have to swing for the newer model if it died.
