Need Help making up my mind ???

Hey folks,

I wanted to ask a few questions before I go ahead and buy the 16GB iPhone through 'Price USA'.

- After reading a bit on this forum and the other sites regarding that the version2 of the iPhone is coming out soon in Australia, shall one wait and buy that ?

The reason I ask is because my purpose of basically buying the phone is to use it as a phone and enjoy its fun features. I have never used a phone to connect to internet or want one that satisfies PDA needs.

- I might surf the net once in a while to check mails at the max, but as to what I have read the present iPhone does not have Java or Flash. Is this a major draw back for a moderate web surfer like me ?

- Can one see YouTube videos on the internet ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Wait.

WWDC is just over a month away and we'll all have a much better idea what is actually going to happen after that.

As far as I know Price USA cannot order iPhones at this present time as they are having issues with Apple in the US and Price USA's Agent's have exceeded the maximum number of iPhones per person.

If i were you I would wait until the end of June and see if the 3G iPhone comes out. It should be good without having that recessed headphone jack!

As DeanCorp said, you can't buy iPhones via PriceUSA. Go eBay if you really want the iPhone now.

I'd wait.

And YouTube is an application on the iPhone, no need to watch YouTube via Safari... just run it from the main springboard. i.e. YouTube is included on the iPhone!

I would wait. Even if you won't make great use of 3G features, you never know what else might be in a revised model.

I'd wait for an iPhone too - even if you don't want a 3G one, as soon as it's announced, there will be iPhones galore for sale up here on MacTalk (I know mine will!).

Maybe end of June.

It could be some outrageous price as well... but it comes with support/warranty!

We will know in a month's time.

It won't be that expensive, IF the current pricing holds then the 16gb iphone will cost $629 and the 8gb (if there even is one) will be $500.

Get the price of an iPod touch and halve the storage, that's how much an iPhone costs, it holds across all territories so far (at least last time I checked).
