iPhone cases in Aus
So I'm getting sorely tempted by the Hey-Soo phone and will likely order one through PriceUSA at some stage. I'd love to get rid of this pesky Nokia with its sh*t user interface. Really, what diseased mind came up with that clusterf*ck?
What do aussie blokes do re a decent case? Is one even necessary? I take my phone everywhere and don't want it to get too bashed up.

Dunno what the blokes do but I have a PDAir holster style case at last which is not too bulky and which seems to do the protection job pretty well. I ordered from the US: CASES.COM - IPAQ IPHONE POCKET PC BLACKBERRY PALM PDA TREO SMARTPHONE CASES and it only took a few days. Shipping is expensive but I couldnt get exactly what I wanted any other way.

I don't use a case, nor do the four other guys in my office with iPhones. No issues so far (knock on wood).

I cannot recommend the incase slider enough.
This case is supreme.

I would at least go for, and totally recommend an invisible shield. These things are amazing. I have seen knives not even go through them. The pointy bit at that!
I have two latex type cases for the phone, and have found that I don't use any. The phone slides in and out of your jean's pockets beautifully with no case. The cases just seemed to get in the way.
That being said, I have dropped my phone a couple of times on the cement. It has a few scuffs on the back. But hey, it's a phone.
I used to be super paranoid about breaking/loosing/dropping the phone, worried that I wouldn't be able to get another one. But now with the ease of unlocking, I treat it more and more as "just a phone". Quite a nice "just a phone", but still, "just a phone".

I second the invisible shield, that stuff is the bomb! Not only it protects your gadget but it also makes the surface much easier to clean (less prone to fingerprints on the touch screen)
I found this link that takes 50% off everything on that site! What a bargain! - invisibleSHIELD | iPod Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield
One comment I have about my experience with them is that the free postage takes forever to get here... Give it a month at least before expecting anything in the mail. It's been the same since the last two times I've ordered through them.

I'm going to put an Invisible Shield (I have one on the way, as well as an iPhone car cradle, ordered through PriceUSA) on mine, and slip it into an iPod Sock

I disagree, order one for my new DS last week on tuesday, and got it yesterday, free shipping.
It looks pretty damn good on a black DS

I sought mine from Ebay, but was price gouged because of it (supplies are short in the US)
Next time around, I would use Price USA | Shop where you want like I did for my phone.

I got an invisible shield.
They shipped it from US direct from the Invis Shield company. Works great.
I would recommend it.
I also use an iPod sock if I have to put it in a bag with other stuff. ( keys etc...)
