Nokia Memory card permissions

Hey All,
I have a 256mb microsd card in my nokia 6120 and have taken it out and plugged it into my macbook pro with a USB sd card read. I see the device ok but it wont let me read or write.

How can I get it to allow me to do these things?

Maybe you can copy the contents of it, then reformat it, then copy them back?

I had the same problem when my Nokia 6288 was plugged into my mac via the nokia USB cable.

.. You dont have the read-only switch on the wrong setting on the microSD card do you (do they even have them?)

Simo I had the same happen on my T-Mobile branded Nokia 5300, had to format the memory card on a Windows machine after recovering pictures/ringtones/music. Worst case is file corruption than a dud card.

In my opinion offload pictures/videos from the phone regularly.
