iPhone Bluetooth - Host name
Hey all,
Just took delivery of my new iPhone, bloody fantastic ..... connects to the BMW Bluetooth, displays address book, dials calls, receives calls, works like a charm. Just a little issue is that the phone appears as Localhost in the display on the car (not a big problem) but just wondered how this can be changed. It has a name under itunes, however I suspect in the underlying OS it is still called the default Localhost, this is where the Bluetooth name is derived from

Great phone, even the sound quality through the car is much better than the trashy palm I had ...

How did you make it work. I have a new BMW 3 series and purchased the new Apple Iphone. I can pair the phone but nothing is working as the bluetooth keeps cutting in and out. BMW thinks that this is due to the new software of this phone and can not solve this problem for the moment. The old Iphone worked fine.

I'm having exatcly the same problem. Have tried renaming my IPhone, turning off WiFi, clreaing my contacts. No luck =(
