Price USA is awesome and if you want an iPhone, get it from them.

Alright, to make it clear, I have absolutley no fucking connection to Price USA. I just found out about them a few days ago and think what they do is cool and worth a mention on MacTalk.

I'm asked daily via email or iChat "HEY WHERE I GET IPHONE GOOD RELIABLE? YOU GET ME IPHONE YES? HERE CASH IPHONE PLS".

Well Price USA is where you can get it from. They'll ship anything from the USA for you for only a 5% markup. So if you want a 16GB iPhone, all you will pay is AU$716. They take direct deposit only into an AU bank account, but that's not too bad. Their webpage has lots of FAQs explaining the whole thing very well and are a reliable bunch of people.

The iPhone are locked (i.e: still in shrink wrap just like new) so you will need to unlock it yourself. It's a piece of cake with ZiPhone, which is a one click (yep, 1 goddamn click!) to get your iPhone activated, jailbroken and unlocked. If that still freaks you out, I will unlock it for you (see this thread for more info on that).

To sum up: If you want an iPhone and don't know to get one from, visit Price USA and buy it from them.

I'm just going to wait until they come to AU...
But thanks for the suggestion.. The amount of people that ask FOR an iPhone, expecting us to sell one to them right away is just amazing...

Looks like great prices on iphones and considering they come in under the $1000 mark they escape any customs duty / import taxes.

I can 100% put my support towards Price USA. I have used them to import my iPhone and everything was done above and beyond what was expect, not to mention its the cheapest source if an iPhone apart from knowing someone in the states.
I also have no connection to Price USA, but what Carolina and her husband offer is just a fantastic service! Its just the little things like receiving emails at every single point of the products journey to the ultra fast responses to any questions.

It's always good to know you are dealing with someone local, and I have to say it, someone I can now trust to import products from the states! If you are looking at an iPhone, or any product from the states (with the exchange rate so good at the moment, now is a great time to start) go Price USA all the way!

3G 3G 3G - I'm waiting too.

what's the use of a ritzy iPhone unless you live in a city or regional area that has full signal service.
outside of these areas you're left with simply a slick GSM phone for calls and text messaging and a long wait for edge/gprs services to load

my money's on Telstra to get the nod with their UMTS 850mhz network.

reason I say that is AT&T and T-Mobile are both about to activate their UMTS 850mhz network in the States and as we all know Steve loves AT&T

I will be telling everyone about this service. So many people want iPhones and are willing to do what it takes. And with this the price is so very good, and I offer to do free unlocks as well.

I heard about this site and it sounds really good. The iPhone is definitely a great price from these guys, but I'm not sure about buying laptops - since it is heavy and over $1000 AUD so GST etc, has anyone done something like this before? (with a MBP say). Save a bit/lot/nothing?

Cheers
