I'm hoping SDK would bring OmniOutliner (or equivalent outliner program), OmniFocus (or equivalent GTD program) and Budget/Cha-Ching (or equivalent budget program)

I really do hope that they don't go down the path of selling. It should be up to the developers if they want to sell their products or not.

Kismac thanks
Wi-fi sniffing/hacking would be super awesome handy.

- Adobe Acrobat, just something to view PDFs off the iPod file system
- An RDP/VNC viewer
- Melbourne train timetable & info (ala the BART widget on OS X)
- Skype/VOIP apps
- Apple Server Admin apps (oh god that would be awesome)
- IRC client
- Currency/weight/temp/distance calculator (like the Apple widget)
- App to post photos & video direct from iPhone camera to Flickr or YouTube for video.
- Useage meter for your GPRS/EDGE data
- Streaming radio app to listen to low bandwidth radio streams over the net
- Games, games, games! Nintendo and Apple should team up to bring the Wii virtual console to the iPhone/iTouch
- iPhone version of Wikipedia

proper to-do list (even though I probably won't use it)
finance app
at-a-glance home screen (i.e. the thing you look at before you unlock it)
something else.....

I haven't had a huge chance to find out what else is missing yet

An app to use the iPhone as an iTunes remote control. I have played some web app that does this but some more responsive and clean would be nice.

iStumbler already exists, and its code is open source, but my APlogger is (modestly) way better. There is wide consensus that WEP cracking, etc, cannot be performed until the WiFi drivers are changed, and for that we need the kernel modification SDK which, because of the phone nonsense, will probably not be released.
