Video: iPhone in Australia

Hi, this seems to be new.

http://media.theaustralian.com.au/pr...one/index.html

It looks like the Australian has posted a video about the iphone. Probably nothing you didn't already know :-)

He called it the "iPod"... when typing an email.

"We don't know why Apple didn't make it a 3G phone" - we do know why. Power requirements. A 3G chip would suck the battery out of it.

I also think that the iPhone battery is amazing, given what you can throw at it (music, videos, wireless, etc).

Tee hee, he's like a poor-man's Aussie Mossberg.

I've got a brand new iphone sitting here sealed in the box. I've been hoping there'd be a software SIM-unlock solution soon. I hope I don't end up with an obsolete item on Wednesday! Then I'll have to sell it as an imported iPod Touch.

Damn that guy is annoying...
He actually makes something as cool as the iPhone seem boring and uncool...

Hmmm yeh, gotta be the most boring iphone video I've seen so far... Interesting though that a major paper is discussing hacked iphones in Australia, I didn't think this kinda thing would ever get mainstream(ish) coverage.

I was thinking that exact same thing (poor man's Aussie Walt Mossberg).

He talks about jailbreaking, unlocking and even TurboSIM (though he doesn't mention it) in it.

Yeah exactly. While the guy wasn't a bundle of energy, that was an excellent video showing LOTS of the iphone features in a high picture quality video. Short of Apple's videos, I haven't seen too many other videos that showed as much as this did. Most of the Youtube videos I've seen were of shocking pic quality.

And that's by far the best Australian made journalist video review I've seen on the iPhone.

He's more like Walt Mossberg with cancer.

EDIT: I'm sorry that was uncalled for.
