iPhone cases?

I have finally got an 8Gb iPhone and am in love! I am just wondering what kind of protection you guys use for yours. I am thinking of purchasing a clear plastic case for mine, as I don't really like the silicone ones and the leather ones don't look that good.

Regards

I have been using one of these with a screen protector. You can access all the phone functions and ports, maintains it slim feel and look and would protect the phone from dings and scratches from a small fall onto hard ground. The only down side I have encountered is it requires removal should you wish to use the Apple dock. You will however need to remove the cover to clean the phone every now and then as it does trap dust and pocket fluff.

I definitely recommend BestSkinsEver on the whole iPhone... its great protection from scratches and all. Although not exactly a case, but great protection to consider.

invisibleSHIELD: http://www.shieldzone.com/

Doesn't impede the sleekness and sexiness of the iPhone's design.

I have an XtremeMac Tuffwrap which is pretty good.

It's rugged and handles being dropped well. It also disguises the iPhone just enough to make it not stand out so much. The only things I dont like are that the edges of the screen are a bit floppy (see below) and it picks up a bit of dust so you have to give it a dust everytime you dock the iPhone. Oh, and you need to remove it to get the iPhone to dock...tho I tend to just plug the travel cable in

I've got an invisible skin covering the display and the tuff wrap. When I got my iPhone I used the tuff wrap but now I just rely on the display skin. I like holding the iPhone in my hand

The invisible shield looks amazing..
so if it covers it completely and seals it how does your iPhone get fluff in there etc Coogan? So say, it gets stuff in there and you have to remove the invisbleshield does it leave any marks on the iPhone when it is removed? If fluff got on the inside and stuck to the plastic shield wouldn't it have to be replaced?

thanks

The Crystal Hard Case is a cover not an applied shield, dust and fluff is able to work its way inside the cover due to the openings and cutouts, as for the screen shield its sealed, once applied I would doubt that anything would get under it but if it did you would probably want to replace it.

I've got the iSkin Revo. It covers the iphone fairly well and even has a cover for the camera. It also comes with a shield for the screen as well and you can buy directly from their website. Fitment around the screen is tight also. There's a hard cover for the front of the phone also, it can get annoying as you cant use the phone when its on.

Cheers thanks for the reply Coogan,
Yes, I don't see how it would be possible for the screen shield to allow any muck behind it, it wouldn't exactly be doing its job if it did haha.

I have been pretty happy with this Casemate. Before I got it I had dropped the phone four times in as many weeks.

Now I'm drop free but I must admit I like the look of my phone a lot better without a case.

With those who bought the invisible shield, did you guys get the full one or just for the front? Is it better to get the full one perhaps?

I bought the full one but in the end only applied the front because in the interim I had dropped and damaged the back of the phone quite badly. I am contemplating applying the back just as a way of having it not slippery because dammit if I didnt drop it onto concrete last night as well. it just slipped right out of my hand.

I also bought a couple of marware cases (holster style) and I hate em. the belt clips are massive. so they have been relegated to the wardrobe and I got a PDair holster style case with a less obtrusive clip. happy happy for those of us with no pockets in their slacks.
