Iphone wifi, how ?

Guys & girls picked up my iphone yesterday, have it hooked up with Virgin, love it. I have a Netcomm NB9W mireless modem & when I go into settings - wifi, choose a network comes up. do I need to go into wireless ? what do I choose ? DHCP, BootP ?

Those questions depend completely on how the wifi network you're trying to connect to is setup.

The NB9W is a ADSL2 VoIP Router my laptop was easy to hook up via wireless ? I want to hook the iphone into the same wireless modem is this possible ?

I use DHCP, myself. it seems to work well.

Settings > Wi-Fi > Tap your network name under Choose a Network. Enter the network password (if it asks for one, and I would hope it does) and then you should be connected.

If your network name does not appear it probably means you're not broadcasting your SSID. In this case, tap Other and enter the info manually.

How did you connect your laptop to the wireless network?

Whatever the answer to that question is, is what you need to do for the iPhone.

OK sorted, I was tapping the arrow next to wifi (wireless) instead of the wifi itself filled in password & presto. Thanks for the replies, I'm a definite iphone newb.
