Macbook pros power cord head for iphone adaptor?

So i have this spare Australian power plug head from my MBP (I use the other one that comes with it, not the short headed one) & it seems to fit my iphones adaptor fine - but is it safe to use it? I figure they're all interchangeable and it fits perfectly - that way i'll be able to actually charge my iphone with no access to my mbp.

also was wondering if the car power adaptors are safe? (i heard they can overcharge since they have no concept of a full battery) ... if thats the case i think i'll pass on those for my iphone.

The duckheads are safe. I'm using one from an old iPod. MB/MBP heads will be fine too.

No idea about car chargers though.
