I'd put my money on the 'wiggle' being true. I think it'd be a great method for moving the icons around with zero extra clutter to the UI.

And it also sucks for unlocked phones too since that is patched up again. Going to have to wait until another jailbreak/unlocking solution comes out.

Yeah. Getting 1.1.3 might be a real disaster.

Oh well... we'll see what happens.

If the features list is true, then it shows one very important thing: Apple is looking at the functionality that has been implemented on jailbroken iPhones and started to include the most popular features in the OS itself. That's really cool!

1.1.3 will be a great boon to the iPhone hacking community. Soon we'll be able to unlock those pesky 1.1.2 OTB iPhones.

I admire your patience DJY

I myself couldn't hold out and got one in September. Best mobile ever. I'm definitely going to get iPhone Rev. B. when they come out in the States (and hopefully unlockable, again).

Only if the new firmware comes with a new bootloader. And given the last two 1.1.x firmware updates, it seems unlikely that an unlock will be that simple.

And to the OP, nice prediction with the firmware update. If it arrives in the next week it will have been inside a month.

I still reckon Niacin (The guy behind jailbreak) should make custom firmware, I know that he knows ASM, surely it cant be too hard :P)

I completely agree, by the time the iPhone hits NZ I will have had mine for over 6 months (I got mine in the US at the beginning of September, cost all up under NZD$600). My best phone ever (and I have had a lot of them!), and well worth the effort to unlock.

If they release a 3G and/or significantly enhanced model and launch it in NZ I'll consider upgrading then also.

The 1.1.2 firmware is spectacular -- anyone else noticed the phenomenal battery life you get now?
