I'm the same, it feels messy having anything in the bottom "black" row. I like having a section to "flick" in (don't ask why, I just do ).

I actually like having only 3 icons in the dock (which I had before SW 2.0 came out), but I needed to find a spot for the App Store, and it made sense next to the Music Store button, so I put it in the Dock.

Na, it's an iPod, and the Google icon just came from google when I added it from Safari. Some pages, when you add them as a Web Clip and wait a little bit before hitting "Add" will pop up with an icon.

i think this thread will only become worth looking at when its jailbreaked, so we can get customization software etc as it stands everyone's looks the same

I take it you were referring to my screenshots. The MSN icon i have is a web clip from iphone.beejive.com. IMO it works like an App because you can set it to auto sign in and etc.

It's there by default, but (on mine at least) it'd been pushed off to a second page. It looks like it's a result of merging the iPod touch OS/Apps and iPhone OS/Apps into an OS for multiple devices.
